Reported net sales increased 5.0% in FY 2024, and organic sales increased 5.1% under Electrolux’s defined organic-sales measure. Cost-efficiency measures contributed SEK 4.0 billion to the 2024 earnings improvement; this is a company-attributed earnings-bridge contribution, not revenue.
The distinction between reported and adjusted results matters: operating income changed from a loss of SEK 2,988 million to positive SEK 1,100 million, while operating income excluding non-recurring items rose from SEK 414 million to SEK 1,666 million. These are consolidated Group measures rather than product-category results.
Regional Electrolux Statistics: Europe, North America and Latin America
Electrolux reports business-area results using regional groupings that are not identical to a simple country ranking. Europe, Asia-Pacific, Middle East and Africa are combined in one business area, while North America and Latin America are reported separately.
| Business area | Net sales FY 2024 | Net sales FY 2023 | Operating income FY 2024 | Operating margin FY 2024 |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Europe, Asia-Pacific, Middle East and Africa | SEK 59,795 million | SEK 60,458 million | SEK 1,332 million | 2.2% |
| North America | SEK 45,581 million | SEK 45,072 million | Negative SEK 1,776 million | Negative 3.9% |
| Latin America | SEK 30,775 million | SEK 28,920 million | SEK 2,202 million | 7.2% |

Latin America recorded organic growth of 22.3% in 2024, compared with 15.2% in 2023. Its operating income was SEK 2,202 million in 2024 versus SEK 1,624 million in 2023, and its operating margin increased from 5.6% to 7.2%.
North America’s net sales were SEK 45,581 million in 2024 and SEK 45,072 million in 2023. Operating income remained negative at SEK 1,776 million in 2024 and SEK 2,341 million in 2023, while the margin improved from negative 5.2% to negative 3.9%.
For Europe, Asia-Pacific, Middle East and Africa, net sales were SEK 59,795 million in 2024 versus SEK 60,458 million in 2023. Operating income changed from a negative SEK 1,141 million to positive SEK 1,332 million, and the margin moved from negative 1.9% to 2.2%.
Electrolux Emissions Statistics and Climate-Target Progress
Electrolux’s climate figures use several scopes and accounting boundaries. Scope 1 and 2 operational emissions, target-scope scope 3 emissions, and product-use emissions should not be merged into one total.
The 2021 baseline for scope 1 and 2 was 103 kilotons of CO2e for Electrolux Group operations. The 2021 scope 3 baseline within the target categories was 39.5 million metric tons of CO2e for the covered value chain.
By the end of 2024, absolute scope 1 and 2 emissions were 36% below 2021, while target-scope scope 3 emissions were 31% below 2021. Location-based scope 2 emissions were 24% below the 2021 base year, and market-based scope 2 emissions were 25% below it.
| Climate measure | Result or target | Period and scope |
|---|---|---|
| Scope 1 and 2 baseline | 103 kt CO2e | 2021, Group operations |
| Target-scope scope 3 baseline | 39.5 million metric tons CO2e | 2021, covered value chain |
| Scope 1 and 2 reduction | 36% | End of 2024 versus 2021 |
| Target-scope scope 3 reduction | 31% | End of 2024 versus 2021 |
| Scope 1 and 2 target | 85% reduction | 2030 target versus 2021 |
| Expanded target-scope scope 3 target | 42% reduction | 2030 target versus 2021 |
Source: Electrolux Group Annual Report 2024. The 2030 values are forward-looking science-based targets, not achieved results.
The targeted scope 3 categories cover around 73% of total scope 3 emissions in the 2023–2024 target framework. In the 2021 lifetime appliance carbon-impact illustration, use of sold products represented 86%, purchased goods and services 10%, and upstream transport and distribution 1.0%; the report describes these as derived lifecycle indicators based on its assumptions.
By the end of 2024, emissions from product use were more than 32% lower than in 2021. Electrolux notes that the company estimate also reflects lower sales volumes relative to 2021, so the product-use figure is not solely an efficiency effect.
Electrolux Energy, Product-Efficiency and Circular-Material Data
Energy and product statistics describe operational sourcing and Electrolux-defined product groups. They do not mean that every appliance has the same efficiency profile.
In 2024, renewable electricity supplied 94% of the electricity used by Electrolux Group operations, while renewable sources supplied 64% of total operational energy. Total energy is broader than electricity, so the two percentages measure different denominators.
The most resource-efficient products represented 24% of total units sold in 2024 and contributed 33% of gross profit. Electrolux defines this product group, and the units-sold measure includes major appliances.
Electrolux’s new 2030 recycled-content target is 35% for steel and plastics in products manufactured by the Group. Steel and plastics in that target represent more than 40% of all material purchased by the Group by weight, and the covered recycled materials are expected to weigh more than twice the materials covered by the previous recycled-plastics target.

Electrolux Workforce and Workplace Statistics
Electrolux reported year-end headcount of 40,894 employees on December 31, 2024. This is a point-in-time workforce measure, whereas turnover describes activity during the reporting period.
| Workforce measure | December 31, 2024 |
|---|---|
| Total employees | 40,894 |
| Permanent employees | 38,862 |
| Temporary employees | 2,032 |
| Full-time employees | 39,856 |
| Part-time employees | 1,038 |

The report’s workforce-region grouping counted 22,483 employees in Europe and Asia-Pacific including Middle East and Africa, 9,091 in North America, and 9,320 in Latin America. The same grouping and definitions should be used when comparing these figures.
During 2024, 7,914 employees left Electrolux. Employee turnover was 15% in 2024 compared with 21% in 2023; the report defines this as employees who left divided by employees, not as a dismissal rate or a retention cohort.
The 2024 Total Case Incident Rate was 0.37. Electrolux presents this as a company safety indicator, not as an injury count.
Electrolux Factories, Waste and Sustainability-Program Statistics
The 2023 Annual Report described Electrolux as having 34 factories worldwide and approximately 45,000 employees, with sales in approximately 120 markets. These are approximate or report-period scale descriptions for 2023, not replacements for the 2024 year-end workforce table.

| Waste measure | 2022 | 2023 | 2024 |
|---|---|---|---|
| Total waste | 155,188 metric tons | 145,367 metric tons | 152,270 metric tons |
| Non-hazardous waste recovered | 148,270 metric tons | 140,402 metric tons | 146,715 metric tons |
| Waste not included in Zero Waste to Landfill | 14,149 metric tons | 2,697 metric tons | 3,582 metric tons |
| Non-hazardous waste sent to waste-to-energy | 3,185 metric tons | 2,524 metric tons | 1,844 metric tons |
| Hazardous waste recovered | Not stated in supplied comparison | Not stated in supplied comparison | 1,070 metric tons |
Source: Electrolux Group Annual Report 2024. The waste table uses the categories and reporting scope defined in the sustainability statement; excluded waste is not identical to all waste sent to landfill.
The share of manufacturing sites certified to Zero Waste to Landfill rose from 3% in 2018 to 88% in 2024. Certification is not a claim that all waste was eliminated.
Electrolux’s target is 100% of manufacturing sites certified by 2025. The program objectives are to keep landfill or incineration without energy recovery below 1% of waste and waste sent to waste-to-energy facilities below 3%; both are forward-looking objectives rather than observed annual outcomes.
